AKOLA/NAGPUR: Politicians in the state can keep their hair on. They may soon face Gandhigiri with a startling twist. Maharashtra’s barber community has decided not to give them a haircut or a shave because they have not done anything about the barbers’ demand for scheduled caste status.
Not only will the barbers refuse services to politicians but they will also not vote in either state or parliamentary elections as a mark of protest. Speaking to TOI, Gajanan Kathale, leader of Maharashtra Nabhik Yuvak Sena said, “Ours is a long pending demand but nobody is giving any thought to it. Those who belong to caste and sub-castes in Nabhik Samaj are backward and poor. Also, the education level of our members is also not that high. Hence, we need to be included in the SC category.”

Oh! what a suggestion to solve world food price crisis!!!!!!
As per Vijay Prakash, secretary of the state's welfare department in Bihar state of India :
"Eating rats is the best way for rich and poor people to solve the global crisis of rising food prices, an Indian official said Wednesday as he unveiled his plan to put rodents on menus.
Regular rat snacks would translate into fewer rodents eating precious grain stocks -- 50 percent of which are lost in the northeastern state of Bihar every year to the animals, said Vijay Prakash, secretary of the state's welfare department.
"This will help in mitigating the global food crisis. We are sure that it will work wonders," Prakash told AFP. "It will save half our grain, and will also reduce villagers' dependence on food stock." AHMEDABAD: One hears the name of the Lord when one steps into any place of religious worship. It is however not everyday that one hears of a temple where the name of Lord Ram is being chanted, continuously, for the last 44 years.
Jamnagar's Shri Bala Hanuman temple located near Lakhota Lake in the city has set a new record in chanting Lord Ram's name.
The chanting began on Aug 1, 1964, when the temple was constructed by the late Sant Prembhikshuji Maharaj. It was the Maharaj and his handful of devotees who first uttered the Ram chant "Shri Ram Jay Ram Jay Jay Ram". In an unbelievable record the chant entered its 45th year last Friday.
The details of the Ram chant are amazing. It has until the end of Thursday completed 16,070 days non-stop. That translates into 385,680 hours and 23,140,800 minutes in the long journey of 44 years. Read more........................................
