A woman hairstylist in Uttar Pradesh's Faizabad city on Sunday attempted an unusual record by performing haircutting while being blindfolded in a moving boat!

Student's hair cut as punishment

In another case of extreme punishment, a teacher in Maharashtra has chopped off a male student's hair.

The teacher at Karnala High School in Panvel was reportedly angry because the student's shirt was not completely buttoned up. The boy was a Class 9 student.

A case has been registered with the Panvel police against the teacher. "We saw the way our son had been humiliated, his shirt was torn, hair cut, the wounds to his face. When Barbers refused to give Haircut or Shave to Politicians

AKOLA/NAGPUR: Politicians in the state can keep their hair on. They may soon face Gandhigiri with a startling twist. Maharashtra’s barber community has decided not to give them a haircut or a shave because they have not done anything about the barbers’ demand for scheduled caste status.

Not only will the barbers refuse services to politicians but they will also not vote in either state or parliamentary elections as a mark of protest. Speaking to TOI, Gajanan Kathale, leader of Maharashtra Nabhik Yuvak Sena said, “Ours is a long pending demand but nobody is giving any thought to it. Those who belong to caste and sub-castes in Nabhik Samaj are backward and poor. Also, the education level of our members is also not that high. Hence, we need to be included in the SC category.”
