Nagpur: Trusting god to ensure party ticket for the coming civic polls in Maharashtra, many Congress hopefuls slipped their application forms in the donation boxes of famous temples here.

Sabarimala, A purification process was performed at the Lord Ayyappa temple, Sabarimala, Kerala on Monday, Dec 19 after a 35-year-old woman violated the norms by entering the shrine.

Hyderabad: This is a hair-raising achievement by one of the richest temples in India, the Tirumala temple. The temple administration managed to gather a whopping Rs 133 crore (USD 28 Million) by auctioning off human hair offered by the devotees to the deity. The temple in Andhra Pradesh is known for the unique offering made by the throngs of pilgrims who visit the holy place each year.
The e-auction of the hair was conducted for the first time by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and garnered lush returns.
