Nagpur: Trusting god to ensure party ticket for the coming civic polls in Maharashtra, many Congress hopefuls slipped their application forms in the donation boxes of famous temples here.
“The trend came to light when I went to the Ganesh Tekri temple here to offer prayers for my newly-born grandson,” said city Congress president Jayprakash Gupta.
“I was curious when the priest asked me about upcoming civic polls. When I asked him as to why he is so interested in the elections, he told me that he found eight to 10 copies of candidate’s forms in the donation box,” he said. Who is god?
I thought Hindus believed in MANY Gods so when they use the term "god" in a singular sense as in "ask God for Party Ticket" what do they mean?
