PATNA: This single act may go down as the height of caste frenzy in the politically-sensitive state of Bihar. For, believe it or not, a man from Upper Caste Bhumihar community which has traditionally opposed RJD chief Mr Lalu Prasad and his 15-year-rule, was so elated at his rival returning to power in Bihar that he chopped off his finger and offered it to the deities today ~ the second time in five years! He didn’t stop at that. Ignoring the pain of blood oozing out of his slit ring finger, he shouted, “Nitish Kumar zindabad”. Read More................A finger in the name of Nitish Kumar!

In India people are really crazy about the game of cricket. Take the prevailing Indian cricket team's tour in Australia where there is an anger against the umpire Steve Bucknor for giving wrong decisions. Now the anger against the West Indian umpire Steve Bucknor today reached absurd length when a little-known caste outfit offered a reward of Rs one lakh (US$ 2500) and land to anyone chopping his finger.

Isn't it weird?

Protesting against Bucknor, who has been involved in a string of dubious decisions against India in the second Test against Australia, All India Bharatiya Jat Mahasabha Mandal President Vivek Kajla said besides the cash, hundred bigha of land would be given to anyone removing the umpire's finger.

Activists of Shiv Sena and BJP burnt effigies of the West Indian umpire and demanded that India withdraw from the Australian tour.
