To buy Onions, Chief Minister's Wife Seeks Loan

In a bid to rub it in, the wife of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Thursday filled up an application for a bank loan - to buy onions!

Sadhna Singh is also vice-president of the women's cell of the state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who took part in a street protest here against the soaring prices of onions.

Parents mortgage sons for loan to repay fine

LUCKNOW: Four minors were mortgaged with a moneylender by their parents against a loan of Rs 28,000 to pay a fine imposed on them by the electricity department for using an illegal connection. Non-payment of fine would have led the parents being sent to jail. The parents Sageer and Shareef, who are brothers, are farm labourers living on daily earnings of Rs 45 to Rs 60. Family pawns children for a loan

Poverty has driven a family in an Uttar Pradesh village to give away their three children in bondage against a loan of Rs.42,000.

The children have to now toil for 12 hours a day to make up for the loan taken by the family, a distraught relative said.

Unable to Pay Loan, Man Mortgages Wife

Behrampore - West Bengal: You could call it Bengal’s heart of darkness. Unable to repay a loan he had taken for his wedding, a Murshidabad man ‘mortgaged’ his wife and vanished. For two years, the woman was allegedly raped and kept confined in the moneylender’s house.

When she went to police, they allegedly did nothing. Every time she sought help, they ignored her, she says.

The shocking incident took place at Jhikra village in Murshidabad’s Bharatpur area. When the woman married tailor Toton Sheikh five years ago, he borrowed some money from Rahamani Sheikh, a rich businessman from neighbouring Surpara village. The couple was finding it difficult to pay back the Rs 5,000 (at a hefty interest) when they had to borrow money again for their son’s birth. Dump your Debt papers in the Sea

About 20,000 farmers on the verge of committing suicides due to debt from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu states of India have found a novel way to get rid of their debts.

Kisan(Farmers) Coordination Committee (KCC) has come out with a "novel plan" to "bid goodbye" to debt by dumping loan documents in the sea at Rameswaram city in Tamil Nadu state of India on the eve of the new year. They are expected to converge in Rameswaram city to take part in the "Karj Mukti" (liberation from the debt) agitation to "sink" the debt documents in the Sea!!!!!!!!!!!!

"We want to start our life in 2008 with absolutely no debt. We want to put an end to farmers' suicides," as per Govind Joshi, an executive member of KCC, who said they have planned a farmers' rally on December 31,2007 coinciding with the committee's executive meeting. One of the interesting fact in one of its State is "Bank run By Masculine Force", Yes Bank run By Force.

These type of banks are run by Local Moneylenders of that area & though illegal as per Government Rule Book, are very much prevalent in many of small towns & villages of Bihar State of India. If you want Loan from these Banks, then you don't need even a Guarantor etc. to take a loan from these banks. You just have to move into the Bank, Show your Face , tell your requirement of money & immediately Cashier of the Bank shall give you Money. How simple & how easy.

But from there on, You have fallen into Death Trap. Interest rate charged by these Banks are highest in the world. Afterwards these Bank's people shall take care of you. If you don't pay that Interest per month, then Banks have their own Masculine Force to handle you which in local Language are called Gun wielding Masculine people. These type of people are people having unlicensed Guns & they apply all sort of Masculine Force Tactics by which they reclaim their Interest & Principal. Most of the people repay the Loan interest & Principal in time & others who do not pay in time are threatened , harassed & even beaten . Many time they take their property by force & all this is done with the Gun force wielding people of these moneylenders. Even after this if the person don't repay them their child can be kidnapped or you can be killed also. So this is called "Bank run By Masculine Force" of these Moneylenders.

Though these Banks / Moneylenders are illegal as per local laws but their Business flourishes like anything. Their Area manager moves in the Area with a Group of Masculine people each carrying illegal Guns without license & they go around their area in that manner, reclaiming money of the Moneylender.

So Wanna thinking of taking a Loan from these banks..............
