The Jagannath Temple at Puri in Orissa State of India is a famous Hindu temple & is dedicated to Lord Jagannath which is another form of mythological Lord Vishnu. It's a 12th century shrine. This temple is a pilgrimage spot for all the Hindus. The temple is also famous for its Rath Yatra i.e. Chariot festival, in which huge and beautifully decorated chariots are used for the procession of various deities.

Now to avoid people using the vulgar or abusive language inside the temple , authorities at Jagannath Temple have decided to fine Indian Rupees 100, ( US$ 2.2), whosoever, is found using such filthy language. This shall be applicable to temple priests and employees also. These fines will be collected from January 1, 2007.

So anyone visiting the shrine, take care of all such language inside the shrine or else be ready to pay the fine.
