'Swastika' on Footwear Creates Trouble in Jabalpur

Here is the Picture of a symbol of 'Swastika'. Do this reminds you of something? If you are relating this symbol to the symbol on the flags of Hitler's Nazi Party, then also you are right. But it's also a Hindu Religious Symbol, which is considered very auspicious by the Hindus & any sacrilege to this symbol is just like insulting Hindu Religion.

A similar incident of sacrilege of this Hindu Religious Symbol has happened in Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh - India. What has happened is that, over there some Footwear shops were selling the Indonesia-made Slippers with Swastika-symbols, encircling a face of the Footwear. That was enough reason to have sparked the tensions among the masses & many Footwear shops were vandalized in Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh, as per a report in Daily India. The enraged people over there complained that the pattern on the Footwear was insulting to the Hindu religion.

In the past also, lingerie, toilet seat covers, boxes of tissues, shoes, sandals and finger puppets have also been labeled as showing objectionable images of Hindu Gods & Goddesses & many objections had been raised earlier in that connection.
