In India, it is a tradition that families of bride & bridegroom normally match their birth charts as per astrology, which is generally called matching the 'Janam Kundli's' of boy & girl before marriage. Once birth charts of two match, then only two families agree to marry the boy & the girl. Before marriage both the families ask each other about those birth charts of boy & the girl. Just think what shall happen if both the families ask each other about the HIV certificates of boy & girl!!!!!!!!!. Yes, as per one report, similar thing is going to happen in southern state of Andhra Pradesh where lawmakers plan to sign a bill into law in the next session of the state assembly.

Andhra Pradesh, has the country’s largest number of HIV cases in the state. State is having 1.5 million of India’s 5.7 million HIV/Aids infected people. But many people have showed reservation about this law to be passed & as per them in that situation people shall buy fake HIV-negative certificates which shall lead to serious social and health consequences for the couples and their families. Some people are advising that instead of HIV certificates if government plans to provide free pre-marriage counseling on a range of issues, including health, then it would work much better.

But as per Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, "It will be morally good if both the men and women undergo an HIV test before getting into wedlock," & he said this while opening an HIV testing camp for legislators in the state assembly.
