Aircraft hits Neelgai (Blue Bull)

As many as 47 passengers of Air India flight -- IC 7801 -- from Delhi to Kanpur -- had a miraculous escape after the aircraft hit a wild cow on the Kanpur airport runway on Thursday (February 28).

The Air India flight IC-7801 hit a Neelgai (blue bull) as it came down on the runway and suffered an extensive damage to its nose with about a 1 feet deep hole. One of the propellers of the aircraft, a 48-seater ATR, was damaged. All passengers have escaped unhurt and have been sent to Allahabad via taxi. Here is a teenage girl from Kushalpur village near Kanpur city in Uttar Pradesh state of India who has developed a liking for paddy so much, that she must have five kilograms of raw paddy along with its husk to eat every day.

Teen lynched for eve-teasing

In Kanpur city, a school-going teenager was beaten to death by a gang of students over alleged eve-teasing.

Tree-frog inspires new super glue in India

INSPIRED by the toe pads of tree frogs and crickets, researchers in India have created a form of sticky coating that is both strong and reusable.

When conventional adhesive tape is pulled off a surface, cracks form on the tape, which also picks up dust and other particles, quickly losing its stickiness.

Man puts up Son for sale to save Daughter

In a bizzare incident a landless labourer from Udaipur village in Kanpur Dehat in Uttar Pradesh state of India put up his son for sale to save his daughter from the clutches of death. Prospective buyers, who lined up at the hospital to buy the 14-day-old son, were later chased away by the hospital staff.

After 53 yrs, 80-yr-old seeks divorce

He has lived with her for 53 years, he is 80-year-old & now he is seeking divorce from his wife. As per Budheshwar Shukla from Kanpur city in Uttar Pradesh State of India, he is fed up with the married life and he has filed a divorce case last week. He has alleged that his wife Rani Devi, 71, torture him physically and mentally.

Couple had married in 1954 & as per Mr. Budheshwar, their whole married life of 53 years was never an easy one & there were always conflicts in it.

As per Mr. Shukla, he has faced four operations and can not stand the alleged atrocities of his wife any further.

Couple is blessed with two daughters and a son & all are married.
