Siamese baby being worshipped as 'Goddess'

Here is a Siamese baby who was born on July 4 to Geeta of the Indalpur Village near Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly District in India. This infant was born with two heads, four hands and two legs. But due to ignorance, villagers are worshipping this child as reincarnation of Goddess.

Ramesh, father of the twins, said: "On the fourth of this month, this child was born to my wife at 8'o clock. Everyone called her an incarnation of Devi (Goddess), as she has two heads, four hands and two legs. People come here from far off places, and offer money to my child out of respect."

Doctors suggest it could also be Siamese or conjoined twins, who are joined together physically at a particular part of the body. The newborn are conjoined at the torso.

Dr. Ashok Aggarwal, a surgeon with the Ruhelkhand, Medical College, said: "Such kinds of children are called as Siamese baby. They are no incarnation of God. It can be referred to as a mistake done by nature. When two eggs join at the time of fertilization, they grow together after that. They are no incarnation. They should be immediately operated to be separated so that life of both the babies can be saved.

He added that if they are continued to be treated as an incarnation, then life of both babies can come into danger. "Thus, to save their lives, operation is a must."

The news of the unusual child-birth spread very quickly. After initial hesitation and surprise, people started pouring in to have a glimpse of the child.

Elders in the infant's family are also delighted to have been blessed with 'the baby Goddess'.

Satan Worship to seek Supernatural powers

Subscribe to Weird India Subscribe to Weird India in MY YAHOO! Subscribe to Weird India in MY GOOGLE! Subscribe to Weird India in MY MSN! Subscribe to Weird India in MY AOL! Subscribe to Weird India in Rojo!
In Mizoram state of India tribal youths are worshipping Satan to seek supernatural powers to perform miracles. The church in the predominantly Christian northeastern state of Mizoram is grappling to fight a bizarre phenomenon. There are reports of youths invoking Satan in desolate cemeteries by offering blood from self-inflicted wounds.

‘The youths often cut their wrist with blades and then suck their own blood as an offering to Satan. They want to do wonders or miracles by invoking Satan,’ said Reverend L.H. Rawsealh, a faculty member of the Theological College investigating the weird practice.

The genesis of this trend dates back to 2000 with community elders and church leaders citing incidents of youths practicing such bizarre things inspired by television shows and films about the paranormal and the occult.

‘Most of the cases that we have heard were being practiced by youths who are drug addicts and influenced by films,’ said Reverend Chuauthuama, a senior church leader and a lecturer at the Theological College.

The revelations have shocked people in Mizoram, where close to 90 percent of the under one million people are Christians.

‘The art of black magic, demonology or maybe superstitious beliefs imbibed on these power hungry youths could be reasons,’ Chuauthuama said. In some places, the youths were reported to have desecrated church buildings and the pulpits, besides burning down Bibles.
