Free TV sets distributed in Tamil Nadu-India

Till now you must have heard of wild promises being made by politicians to gain votes in elections. But have you ever heard of any Party making promises of distributing Free TV sets once it comes to power. Again, it happens only in India & now DMK party in Tamil Nadu is distributing free TV sets after it came to power after making such promises during election campaign. Obviously voters lured by such promises brought the party to power.
