AIDS-afflicted man Shunned in Life & Death
As per Telgu Portal report, an AIDS afflicted man who should have found sympathy from his family members, as he was approaching death, was treated otherwise by his family in life & death. Man from Dudahi village in Madhubani district in Bihar State of India, who was suffering from AIDS, was ostracized by his family when they learnt of his disease. Later on he died a painful death when his family did not support him & did not provide any proper medical care to the afflicted person.
Family also did not perform his last rites. He was a Hindu & as per Hindu rites he should have been cremated by his Family members but when family abstained from doing their duty, villagers simply buried the body.
In India there are around 5.2 million AIDS infected people & how good it would be, if people just not simply ostracize such people & treat them like just any other person in the society.
