In Patna, which happens to be the capital of Bihar State of India , Municipal Corporation officials have come with an innovative idea to collect taxes. They have asked the city eunuchs to do this job. As per the municipal corporation officials , eunuchs are very good at persuading people to part with their cash. They are planning to give a commission of 4% of all taxes collected to the eunuchs. In India Eunuchs are generally feared in some parts of India, where many believe that they have supernatural powers & generally people part with the money if asked by eunuchs.

The Eunuchs were escorted by police officers when they approached shopkeepers and large defaulters of taxes in the city. They collected about 400,000 Indian rupees (US$ 8700) on their first day of collection as per the authorities.

Indeed, a weird & interesting way to collect taxes from people. It's a good example for Other States of India, where this weird example of tax collection can be emulated for similar purposes. Indeed Bihar is leader in all such moves.
