Father treks 14 km with daughter’s body tied to cycle

Bhopal: In a shocking instance of absolute helplessness, a poor tribal farmer in Madhya Pradesh had to trek 14 kilometres with his teenage daughter’s body on a makeshift bier tied to his bicycle to get her autopsy done.The local police in his village had told the farmer it was his responsibility to take the body for the autopsy because there were no vehicles in the place.

Gokul Gond, a tribal farmer from Dudhmunia village, was Monday yet to come to terms with the death of his 16-year-old daughter Sohaga, who had reportedly consumed poison Saturday.

Indians prefer Mobile Phone to Bicycle

Lauding the growth of telecom sector in the country, Minister of State for Industries Ashwani Kumar has said Indians are now using mobile phones rather than bicycles for connectivity.

Teen killed over cycle-on-rent dues

A 14-year-old boy paid a steep price for failing to cough up the money he owed to the person he hired a bicycle from. Teenager Raufiq Alam (name changed) was killed by 40-year-old Mohammed Usman on Sunday in south Delhi’s Okhla area. The victim had gone to the market to buy groceries when he was abducted by Usman.
