Rains create havoc in India

Isn't it strange that an economy which is rising at 9-10 % per annum is unable to control the basic thing as rains in its major cities. Here are few pictures of the India's metropolitan cities, Mumbai & Kolkata which have been devastated by Monsoon Rains over there this year.

It's high time Indian Government takes some emergency measures to control the devastation caused by the rains in India.

Below is a picture of an Indian hand rickshaw puller who is pushing his rickshaw through the waters after a heavy downpour in Calcutta / Kolkata city in West Bengal state of India. There is another picture of a Taxi submerged in the Mumbai city in India. Other pictures are also from India where heavy rains have created havoc.
