Underworld Don to Contest Elections

India is a democracy & every citizen of India can get elected in the elections. But what would you say if an Underworld Don / Gangster who is a mastermind of March 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai & who is presently lodged in a Mumbai jail and facing charges of murder and masterminding terror strikes, plans to contest forthcoming Uttar Pradesh - India , assembly elections from his native place!!!! Yes, lawyer of Abu Salem, the above said Don in news has announced that Don is planning to win elections.

Abu Salem was extradited from Portugal last year along with his girl friend, former Bollywood starlet Monica Bedi & he is facing charges in eight cases of murder as well as the March 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai.

The said Don has virtually kicked-off his election campaign here in Uttar Pradesh - India as hundreds of his posters with his photograph appeared on walls in the Mubarakpur area here, greeting people on Diwali and Eid and purportedly seeking support for his election.
His lawyer said that a number of parties were already in talks with Salem for electoral alliances.

Now you can see the state of affairs of Indian Democracy where Dons plan to be future leaders, may be Future Prime Minister's of India. Weird, absolutely weird things are happening in India.
