Who stole oxen 33 years back?
Forty-six-year-old Mr.Yadav is the only survivor of five villagers who were accused on 19 June 1973 of stealing a pair of oxen from a house in Nawada Ben village in Bihar-India. At that time his age was 13 years only. If found guilty he can still face three years in prison for his crime. Interesting thing is that the other 4 accused in the case are dead, so is the pair of oxen.
He is summoned to court every three months & still judgment is not there for him. He has spent lot of money on it but of no use & with no end result.
So here is a classic example how judicial system works for poor people in the state of Bihar - India.

He is very lucjy that atleast he is not ;anguishing in jail while his trial goes on. there have been cases in india especially in bihar, when the people languishing in the jail donot even know why they are there and the jail authorities also donot know why these people are languishing in the jail. they are sent to jail for some petty reason and the cops and the prosecutors simply forget about them.
so, this farmaer mr surajnath yadav should be very thankful that he is out of jail while his trial is underway.
