Bakery in India seeks tallest cake record

An Indian bakery has attempted to break a world record by making a cake 32ft (9.75m) tall to celebrate Christmas.

The cake was made by a bakery in the city of Kochi (Cochin) in the southern Indian state of Kerala, and was supported by iron pipes and wooden planks in an effort to make it stable.

Organiser Jayachandran Pillai told reporters that the cake took 15 days to make and weighed over 550kg. Read more.......................................India seeks tallest cake record

30,000 join tea party - record made

As more than 30,000 people raised their designer cups and took a sip of tea, Indore city of Madhya Pradesh state of India set a new record for hosting the largest tea party.

A 50-foot tall Sandwich

After a 10-hour effort by 42 employees, a Kerala state resort prepared a 50-foot tall sandwich with an eye on breaking the world record for the tallest sandwich ever.

Uday Samudra Leisure Resort at Kovalam claimed it broke the existing record for the tallest sandwich, held by O'Brien's Irish Sandwich Bar that made a 42 feet tall sandwich April 25, 2003. Read full story.......This sandwich is for record books
