Maoist uncle please do not bomb our schools

PATNA — Hundreds of poor school children in Aurangabad district have appealed to Maoist guerrillas not to damage or target their schools as it impacts their education badly.

In an open letter to Maoists, the school children urged Maoists not to deprive them of education by damaging and blowing up the school buildings.

“Maoist uncle, what is our mistake that you blow up schools and deprive us of education? You may have problems with the police but we fail to understand why are we your enemy? What is our mistake that our schools have become a soft target for you,” school children wrote in their letter to Maoist terrorists. Free mobile phones to fight Maoists in Indian state

RANCHI – Authorities in an insurgency-hit eastern Indian state are distributing free mobile phones to villagers to provide information about Maoist rebels, officials said.

Maoist ideologue in jail swallows SIM card

In Chhattisgarh state of India, when Police recovered a mobile phone from the possession of Narayan Sanyal, the highest-ranking Maoist ideologue lodged in Bilaspur Central Prison, he swallowed the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card of the mobile in an attempt to destroy the evidence.

Mobile Phone was recovered from Sanyal’s possession after a surprise check by the prison authorities, following a tip off.
