A man has been fined Rs.12 (US$ 0.3) by a panchayat (village council) for a false complaint his late grandfather made 100 years ago - against his own father-in-law. Nearly a century ago, Kalloo, a resident of Kaili village in Meerut district in Utter Pradesh, had alleged that his father-in-law had illicit relationshie with a woman.
