Violate Traffic Rules, Get Flowers instead of Challan

In India, last year a humorous movie 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai' was a blockbuster & in this Hero is shown following the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi & tries to solve problems in that non violent way, which became famous as 'Gandhigiri' through this movie. Now taking a cue from the recent hit film, Traffic police in Madhya Pradesh state of India have adopted 'Gandhigiri' to teach people a lesson or two about the traffic rules.

Traffic police over there in cities of Indore and Mandsaur districts are giving flowers instead of penalizing the violators with challans. Along with the flowers, violators are told about the risks involved in not following the traffic rules and punishment thereof. They are then let off with lessons about on-road safety.
