4 Cents Dish

A child of 10 years comes to a food stall in India & gives 2 Indian Rupees or around 4 US Cents & takes a lentil dish from the food stall, takes out some old bread ( must be fungus infected) from his bag, which he has begged from someone & has his lunch with it to fill his stomach. Yes, he is among one of the millions of Indian Childs who has his lunch or dinner that way after doing some sort of Child Labour or Begging. Today is also a day in India when Indian Government has banned child labour in restaurants, houses, hotels etc. Where shall these children go & how they shall even earn 4 Cents to fill their stomach.

As per Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India, anyone found violating this ban shall be punished & "firm action" shall be taken against the violators. As per the Indian labour ministry, there are 12 million children under 14 years old working in India & it is the largest such group in the world but labour Ministry should also tell how they are going to feed all such children who throng all the metros in India , whether it is Delhi, Bombay, Calcutta or Chennai. As per the guidelines of ministry those found violating the law shall face up to two years jail and a maximum fine of 20,000 rupees (435 US Dollars) or both.

It would have been wise on the part of the Indian Government if they would have adopted all these millions of children first, should have arranged for their livelihood or food etc. first & then only should have imposed such a Ban.

If you find this news as weird, you can think that way but this is the harsh reality that exists in India.
