Google’s social networking web site Orkut is in trouble in India for Hosting We Hate India community on its site. Orkut, which is very popular among youth in India for its social networks hosted on its website, could put Google India in some legal trouble for allowing Hate India Community on Orkut.

Members of the Hate India Community hosted on its site are mostly Pakistanis which are shown on the site burning the Indian National Flag, which has been found objectionable by the Indian court.

As Google owns the Orkut site, the Bombay High court's Aurangabad bench has asked the Local State Government to issue a notice to Google India for alleged spreading of hatred about India through its Orkut website.

In India Google has earlier also been in news for hosting detailed maps of sensitive locations on Google Earth.
