Women bartenders of India

Bartending, which was a male bastion until recently is becoming a popular career option for women in India. As per a report now many women in India are preferring this job of making perfect cocktail in bars as their career in Metros of India. As per Sandeep Verma of the Institute of Bar Operations and Management, 'In contrast to 10 years back when we had 100 percent male domination in this field, today the ratio has become 70 percent male to 30 percent female.' Bartending is slowly gaining momentum among the female crowd, especially in metros like Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore.

As per Angha, who has been bartending for two years, 'It's liberating. I enjoy partying and mixing drinks. So I decided to take it up professionally.' And of course, it pays well too.
