Monkeys & Pigs on poll manifesto

Indian politics sometimes seem to be a bizarre game. Anything that cannot be thought of anywhere in the world, it actually happens in India. Normally, in poll manifesto of any Party, anywhere in the world, has people of the concerned area on the list but over here in the upcoming elections on February 21, in Uttarakhand state of India, Congress Party's manifesto do contain Monkeys & pigs on its agenda.

As per the manifesto, it does assure villagers of 500 villages in the state to take concrete measures to tackle monkeys and pigs that are running riot across the hill-state’s villages. The menace spread by monkeys in villages is such an urgent issue here that its eradication has become one of the primary election demands of the villagers. So the Congress manifesto committee, headed by Pranab Mukherjee, has accepted suggestions from state leaders and put freedom from monkeys and wild boar among the party’s poll promises.
