New Delhi - A top executive of an Indian automotive company was killed in the southern state of Tamil Nadu by workers angry over the sacking of their colleagues, news reports said Wednesday. Roy George - vice president of Pricol Ltd, India's leading auto-component manufacturer - died Tuesday after he was attacked by workers at one of the company's plants on the outskirts of Coimbatore city, the NDTV network reported. CEO Murdered By Mob Of Sacked Indian Workers

L K Chaudhury, the CEO and Managing Director of Cerlikon-Graziano Transmissions India Pvt Ltd in Udyog Vihar of Greater Noida, was killed yesterday when the agitating workers turned violent and reportedly beat him up after a meeting called to resolve the dispute between them and the management failed.

Spitting workers to be punished in Mumbai

"Employees found spitting on civic premises will earn title of ‘Spit Employee of Today’, have their photographs displayed and will have to pay fine"

The above is the notice that is for the Employees of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in Mumbai city in Maharashtra state of India. BMC has decided to slap fines on such offenders, paste their photographs across the civic premises and declare a ‘Spit Employee of Today’.

As per Mayor Shubha Raul,“It’s the right time for such a move. If their photographs are displayed, offenders will feel embarrassed and would not repeat such things,”
