New Delhi: Wearing a revealing dress during her honeymoon proved costly for a woman as a court granted divorce to her husband saying improper dressing by the woman brought mental cruelty to the man.

"Cruelty includes not only physical but mental cruelty as well. Ostensibly, she (wife) has indulged in bloating falsehood beyond proportions," Additional District Judge Manmohan Sharma ruled, accepting the husband's plea that he suffered mental agony due to his wife wearing "vulgar" dresses regularly since their honeymoon. Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat is facing the ire of Tamil Nadu's ''moral brigade'' which filed a police complaint against the Bollywood star over the issue of improper attire at a film function.

Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK), a splinter group of the Hindu Munnani, lodged a complaint with the police yesterday, saying that Mallika's attire at the function to release audio-CDs of Kamal Haasan's new film Dasavatharam in which, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, Jackie Chan and Amitabh Bachchan were present had ''hurt the sentiments of Hindus''.

IT Employees found 'inappropriately' dressed sent home to change

In India IT is a hot word as India produces remarkably good IT professionals in the world. But here is one India’s top IT company "Tech Mahindra" with its head office in Pune in Maharashtra state which has enforced a strict dress code for its employees.

"Employees found "inappropriately" dressed are being sent home to change. Over 23,000 professionals work at Tech Mahindra's global network of 24 locations, including 11 development centres and 13 global sales offices."

Employees would be given a warning for the first offence. In case the offence is repeated, the employee will be slapped with a penalty of Rs 1,000, the dress code says.
