NAGPUR: Life ended cruelly and prematurely for 11-year-old Pallavi Uchitkar. An ace student of Sindhu Girls High School in Jaripatka, Pallavi attempted suicide by burning herself on December 30 over some homework left incomplete. On Saturday, she succumbed to her burns. Girl branded for not doing homework

In an outrageous incident, a nine-year-old girl, Kuntal Pandhare of Akurdi Pradhikaran, was allegedly branded with a red-hot steel kitchen fork by her private tutors for failing to do her geography homework.

'Homework Outsourcing' by Indian Kids

The owner of Melody Projects Manoj Kumar says, “We keep in mind the student's budget; it should look like the student has made it. And we try and ensure that the student scores well.”
