Chennai: Villagers around the Kudankulam nuclear plant in Tamil Nadu are intensifying their protests following the loading of nuclear fuel in the plant. Around 1500 protesters have remained buried in neck deep sand at Idinthakarai since 10 am today. They will end their protest at 4 pm today.

GURGAON: A nine-year-old school boy was assaulted by a teacher whom he defeated in a game of chess. Police have lodged a complaint after a sports teacher allegedly twisted the nose of the Class V boy, Prince, which made him bleed profusely, and also slapped him twice when the child was adjusting his badge.

GAYA: College teachers of Gaya along with the sanitary staff have been assigned the job of 'cleaning toilets' during 'Pitrapaksha' 2012. Chandigarh, A principal of a government school in Patiala was suspended Wednesday by the Punjab government after it came to light that he was drawing the salary of his teacher-wife, who has been in Canada for the past few months.

Mumbai: Cops have stumbled upon a gang that robbed temples, one of them posing as a pujari.
