Bullocks used to draw oil tankers

In Mumbai city in Maharashtra state of India people for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, India (PETA) filed a notice against Hindustan Petroleum and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd before a committee monitoring animal welfare laws in Maharashtra. The dealers of these companies have been using bullocks to pull heavy kerosene tankers through the streets of Mumbai in violation of law.

In its application the NGO says its volunteers had been "watching with concern the unfortunate plight of the bullocks used to draw kerosene tankers in Mumbai". Read more.........................Oil firms abusing bullocks: PETA
