Cop Drowns Girls For Taking Firewood
In a shocking incident a drunk police officer has killed two young girls by throwing them in a river for stealing firewood.
The pair, aged six and 13, had sneaked into the man's orchard with friends.
As per a news report, policeman threw the two girls into a fast-flowing river and they drowned.
He was helped by another man. Both have since fled.
The incident happened in Manipur village under Mathurapur police station in Samastipur district, about 90 km from Patna in Bihar state of India.
Catastrophic monsoon flooding in the region has made food and fuel scarce.
The case has shed light on the class system in India.
