Two grand old ladies of Bangalore have come to be known as pizza grannies. They serve yummy pizzas, for a cause - to build a home for the aged and to keep it running.

Grandma clears matriculation exams!

Ludhiana (Punjab): Showcasing why it is said there is no age to learn, an elderly woman has cleared the Punjab Secondary Board examination for standard X at the age to 70 along with her granddaughter here.

Apart from playing the role of a guardian grandmother to her grandchildren at home, Malkit Kaur wanted to complete her matriculation. in Gujarat state of India a prohibition and central excise official at a wine shop had a surprise in store when a 70-year-old women approached the counter and asked for five bottles of Haywards 5000 beer.

The official dared to ask the old woman if she would consume all the five bottles of beer.

75-year-old Grandmother thrown on garbage dump

It's another case of neglect shown to old people in the society, when a weak, ill, 75-year-old woman was thrown on a garbage heap by her family members as they wanted to get rid of her!!!! There is no dearth of old age homes all around the world which is a clear sign that old age persons are no longer welcome in many of the families all over the world.
