Two-year-old girl branded 12 times
RAJKOT: As part of age-old practice of branding kids in the supposed belief that it will cure them of their ailments, a two-and-a-half-year-old girl was branded twelve times on her abdomen in the remote Vagad village of Kutch district.
Kusum Koli, (name changed), who was suffering from cerebral malaria with septicemia, was branded 12 times on her abdomen by her parents on January 12 to cure their child of these diseases.
