In Indian wedding there is great pomp and show normally & lot of money is wasted on lighting etc. But here a couple in India planned an eco-friendly ceremony as it saved several watts of electricity.

Prashant Balar, aged 24 wed Ankita Salecha & they did it in an eco-friendly way. The venue of the wedding of this Ahmedabad-based couple, at Koba in Gandhinagar, was lit up with castor oil lamps, decorated with flowers and rangolis in natural colors.

And, the couple wore Khadi wedding dresses. Ankita Sulecha, 23 said, "I liked the concept of an eco-friendly wedding. We believe in conserving nature and this is a great way to do it.
Prashant's brother suggested the concept and we agreed to it." Prashant says, "I was inspired by a Jain muni, and wanted to imbibe his teachings in my life too. Initially, my relatives and friends were skeptical about the concept but I practice what I believe in."

Not to miss the invitation cards, which were made of hand-made paper and were printed using natural ink.
