Bad Karmas of a human being make that person a bad man while Good Karmas make him a Good man. Something similar is the story of "Dilip Nayak" who was a dreaded dacoit of south Orissa a decade ago but due to Good works being done by him now has made him a saint, philosopher, yoga guru, spiritual Guru, or by ,whatever, similar names you want to call him. He is at present teaching fellow prisoners `asanas' and `pranayam' techniques to cure ailments inside the Berhampur circle jail.

Dilip in his thirties is serving life imprisonment. It is the same jail from which he made a daredevil escape in 1996 to be nabbed and put inside the same prison again. Fellow prisoners still respect his clout. But he has no more the arrogance of a dreaded criminal. He continues to speak on `karma theory', `vedantic' principles, yogic asanas, pranayam, effect of meditation on mind and attitude.

He is said to be one of the most voracious readers at the jail and his books of preference are related to Upanishads and Vedanta. He has started writing his own understanding of these philosophies in Oriya. Read more.......Ex-dacoit turns `vedantin'
