Cats take shelter in the Mid-day Meal Kitchen
Panaji : Close on the heels of food poisoning incident that landed 86 school students at Goa in hospital, the self help groups continue to cook food in unhygienic condition.
Four teams of Food and Drugs Administration cracked down on 32 such premises on Saturday.
The pathetic scene was seen at four premises wherein cats and puppies reside in the kitchen.
Director Salim Veljee said establishments at Betalbatim, Majorda and Davorlim, situated in south Goa, had plenty defects.
"Dirty and defaced kitchen walls, improper storage of various raw materials, cats and puppies in the wash area, fungus on the kitchen roof, flies and insects in and around the kitchen area were noticed," he said. Read more.........Cats take shelter in the mid-day meal kitchen
