Bribery Drama in Indian Parliament
Picture: In Indian Parliament BJP MPs show the packets of money they have been allegedly bribed to switch sides. NEW DELHI: Three BJP MPs produced wads of cash in the Lok Sabha, offered to them allegedly by Samajwadi Party to abstain from voting during the confidence motion.
The MPs alleged that the money, Rs 1 crore (US$ 2,34,330), was given to them as bribe by SP general secretary Amar Singh to bail out the UPA government. Full deal was for Rs 9 crore (US$ 2.1 Million) while Rs 1 crore (US$ 2,34,330) was given as advance in cash.
Certainly today 22/07/2008 shall go down in Indian history as the most shameful day of Indian Politics when millions of people saw all this shameful political drama all across India & World live on Television.
