Man whose best friends are monkeys

Dog is considered Man's best friend. But here is one person whose best friends are monkeys, Yes monkeys. Dadan Singh, a temple employee in Sasaram in Bihar state of India has made friends with wild monkeys, and so close is the friendship, that the simians respond to his call. Dadan Singh, is known as "Banar Raja" or "Monkey King".

Dadan says the monkeys are his protector, and admits to being bailed out by them on several occasions." I have been working in the temple for last sixteen years. By the grace of God, the monkeys in the forest respond to my call. I call the monkeys whenever the devotees request me to do so. Whenever I am in some problem, I call them to rescue me and they come," Singh said. Singh takes the monkeys to a veterinarian whenever required, and even organizes their funeral. Devotees visiting the temple have expressed amazement this unique relationship.

"Almost all the monkeys respond to the call of the "Monkey King". He feeds all the monkeys here," claimed Arvind Pandey, a devotee.
