Woman marries her dead lover

As per a TV report, In Anand district in Gujarat State of India, a young woman tied the knot with the dead body of her lover.

The 20-year-old bride Tulsi Devipujak got married to the corpse of the 25-year-old groom Sanjay Dantania who died in an accident on Thursday. Both were in love and as they could not get married earlier in their village due to restrictions from the panchayat, they fled to Surat and began living together. During their live-in relationship they were having a four-year-old girl also.

However, Sanjay Dantania accidentally fell in a well and died. But after death of her lover, Tulsi insisted that she should be married to the dead body of her lover & accordingly the marriage was solemnized before their family members including their four-year-old girl.

The family members erected a mandap & dressed the deceased Sanjay as a groom and conducted the marriage rituals.  Later on Tulsi allowed her lover's body to be cremated after the marriage.
